The "Good News" of what Jesus has done for sinners. Because of Him, sinners can be free of sin and receive the righteousness that comes from God.
The fact that we can stand innocently before God. Through our faith in Jesus and His saving work at the Cross, God is willing to treat me "just as if I'd" never sinned.
Our only hope for this is to "receive" it as a free gift from God. By our own doing, we can never "achieve" this.
